PRIVACY POLICY
How DOOM Sports collects, uses and protects personal information when you browse, contact us, create an account or place an order.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Sapper International Ltd, trading as DOOM Sports, is the data controller for information collected through doomsports.com. Registered in England and Wales, company no. 11696589. Registered office: 12 12 Oldbury Road, Rowley Regis, Rowley Regis, West Midlands, United Kingdom, B65 0JN. Questions or requests can be sent to info@doomsports.com.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, account details, order history, support messages and information needed to process a purchase. We also receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookie identifiers and how you use the site.
How we use your information
- To process orders, payments, delivery, returns and customer support.
- To operate and secure customer accounts and the website.
- To communicate about an order or respond to an enquiry.
- To improve products, services, site performance and fraud prevention.
- To send marketing only where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits it; you can opt out at any time.
- To meet tax, accounting, consumer-protection and other legal obligations.
Our lawful bases
We use order and delivery details to perform our contract with you; keep required transaction records to meet legal obligations; and handle general enquiries, site security and fraud prevention under our legitimate interests in operating the business. Subscription marketing relies on your signup consent, which you can withdraw through the unsubscribe link. Storage and tracking technologies must also meet the applicable rules described below.
Who receives your information
We share only what is necessary with service providers involved in running the store, including payment processors, delivery carriers, website hosting, security, analytics and customer-service providers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information.
Payments
Payment details are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. DOOM Sports does not receive or store your complete card number. The provider processes payment data under its own privacy terms and security controls.
Cookies and analytics
Essential storage technologies support the basket, checkout, account login and website security. Marketing trackers require permission before they run. Analytics may require consent or qualify for a limited statutory exception, depending on their purpose and configuration. You can also manage stored cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from working. Contact us if you want information about the technologies used on this site.
Contact forms and email updates
The Contact form records your enquiry in the website’s form-response system and sends it to our support team. We use Jetpack for forms and Jetpack/WordPress.com for the email subscription feature. If you request new-post updates through the footer signup, follow the subscription confirmation process and use the unsubscribe link in an email to stop updates.
Lab enquiries and future research
A message about the Lab is handled as an enquiry; it does not enrol you in a participant study. Before any organised research collects hand measurements, photographs or other participant information, we will provide a separate study notice, explain the purpose and retention, and obtain any permissions required for that study.
Wishlists and recently viewed equipment
The wishlist feature stores the products you choose to save using YITH Wishlist’s browser or account functionality. The separate recently viewed feature starts when you select “Remember products in this tab”. It stores recent product identifiers, names, links and images in that tab’s session storage. Use “Clear recent products” to remove this list; it also ends when the tab’s browser session is closed.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, including completing orders, handling support or returns, preventing fraud and meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements. Account data remains available while your account is active unless deletion is requested or retention is legally required.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require appropriate safeguards recognised by UK data-protection law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact info@doomsports.com to make a request.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will always be published on this page.
